Depends on: What you mean by recover. With proper medication, therapy, social support, and psychoeducation (learning about your triggers, stressors, and your emotional limits), many with bipolar can live fairly normal lives. Problems arise when people with bipolar fail to realize that it is often a chronic relapsing disease and stop taking their medications (especially when they miss the manic highs).
