Yes and no: Turp removes the inner portion or the transitional zone of your prostate. It's an operation to make you urinate better. Complete removal of the prostate is a cancer operation.

Partially: Turp means that the inner portion of the prostate is trimmed out to some degree. This could be thought of conceptually as removing the core of an apple. It is not possible to remove the entire prostate in this fashion.
