Astigmatism: Astigmatism is when the curvature of the cornea is steeper in one axis than another. This causes blur. Contact lenses that correct astigmatism are a good way to correct your vision and if you like how you see lasik is a very safe and reliable way to correct it permanently if you don't want to wear contacts every day.
