Keep stools soft: Avoid straining or sitting in a crouched position (toileting, squatting) for long- it opens up the pelvis and puts additional pressure on the rectum. Avoid anal intercourse. It could just be hemmorhoids instead of rectal prolapse. Sometimes docs say rectal prolapse when they mean rectocele a bulge of rectum in the vagina. Rectal prolapse its falling through your anus and any progression- see doc.
