Home care: Be dilligent in your brushing and flossing. Take at least two minutes to brush every surface of your teeth twice a day (use an egg timer for the two minutes). Your mouth will feel better and your dentist will praise your efforts. And you will have healthy teeth and gums, too.

Being more careful: Without seeing you I am guessing but it may involve being more careful getting around the teeth. It might be good to have your dentist or hygienist clarify what they mean. I have also found patient do much better by using a xylotol containing tooth paste. It can be found at some dental offices or health food stores.
