How can i stop the teeth clenching at night?

Relaxation technique: First, try to do some type of relaxation prior to going to bed as night time teeth grinding is often(but not always) a subconscious release of daily tension and stress). Try not to do work, or read an intense story or even watch the tv news before going to bed because that additional stress can set off your grinding episodes. Also, see a dentist for a custom made mouth guard.

Teeth clenching: The best way to treat clenching is by wearing a night guard. Clenching is thought to be brought on from stress. Trying to relieve stress may help break the habit.

Some suggestions-: You may not be able to stop this habit, but you can certainly reduce the harmful effects on your teeth, jaw and muscles from clenching or grinding while asleep. Speak to your dentist about appliance therapy. Most patients get substantial relief with this type of therapy. There are many causes of bruxism. If stress is the biggest factor in your case, relaxing techniques may offer some relief.
