A member asked:

What can i do to ease eye pain after excessive rubbing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

1. don't!; 2. tears: Eye rubbing can actually cause eyelid laxity, besides causing oil to increase in the tear film. It's also easy to abrade your cornea. How about only using your own elbow (ie--don't rub). Otc tears can reduce the stinging & help flush the excess oil.
