Common finding : Usually, a mucous retention cyst in one maxillary sinus is of little importance or concern. The cyst is a mucus filled structure on the floor or side walls of the sinus. It can gradually enlarge, but not necessarily. It is unrelated to your nasal congestion. This is something you need to discuss with your otolaryngologist further about long term treatment and follow-up.
