How are nasal congestion and retention cysts related, if at all?

Dr. Michael Zacharisen

Unrelated: Nasal congestion is a symptom of stuffiness that can be due to allergies, colds, deviated nasal septum, etc. A mucus retention cyst is a finding usually on sinus x-ray or CT scan that indicates there has previously been a sinus infection. Mucus retention cysts do not cause symptoms like nasal congestion.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
