What are the procedures to fix damage from osgood schlatter's disease?

Orthopedic Surgery 34 years experience
Depends: In growing kids, we usually wait till the child stops growing unless their is a fracture or unrelenting pain. In mature patients, childhood osgood schlatters can leave a prominent bump or residual ossicles (bone pieces) that can be removed if it really bad.
