No distinct limit: Although there is no limit to the absolute number of stents which can be implanted, in some people, the degree of obstructive disease in many vessels may result in the need for bypass surgery rather than more stenting. I have seen people who have had almost all of one of their vessels stented (a "full metal jacket", to use some interventionalist slang).
