Post artery stent: Your doc who placed the stent, or who ordered the stent placed will be the best to answer your question. In general the location of the stent, (heart, leg, neck, pelvis, kidney) and the symptoms will be determinants in your recovery. In general recovery and return to activity is much sooner with stents than with open surgical procedures.

It depends!: Stents are implanted in different arteries and for different reasons. For example, a stent might be put in a leg artery to relieve pain caused by a blockage in that leg. A stent might be put in a coronary (heart) artery because of chest pain, or because of a heart attack. Exercise recommendations afterwards will depend on your condition, how the stent was implanted, and why it was needed.
