There is a: difference between a hangnail and an ingrown toenail. A hangnail is when the nail is partially torn and "hanging"….it is not common to have this on multiple nails. This usually occurs from injury or from picking at ones nails. An ingrown toenail can occur cause the toenail is too wide….there are procedures to correct this.
