Several reasons: Pain that severe needs to be worked up by your doctor in person. He/she will listen to you, perform an examination and possibly order some tests to see what's wrong with you.

Could be tension: People with tension headaches can also experience neck pain. Also people with cervical arthritis and neck pain can experience headaches. But, it depends on the type of headache and type of neck pain and if there are other symptoms. Please be evaluated. Hope you feel better.
