Not likely.: This does not cause pain normally. It can cause discomfort if it gets too large, and can be differentiated from the testis by shining a light as it is transparent. If this does not clarify this, ultrasound of the scrotum/testes area can do it. Testicular cancer also isn't usually painful, but is not clearly illuminated generally, and other tests, like ct scan and serum AFP and bhcg are needed.
