Not likely: If you have no other symptoms but a dry cough, then it is likely a post-viral cough, which is believed triggered by remnants from the virus/disease process. Unfortunately, it can persist for up to 3-5 weeks. Your dr may give meds to help shut it down if substantial (inhaler, steroid, other).
