A member asked:

Would you only feel bad on the day you are receiving chemo or would feel bad daily after chemo treatments start?

Variable: Depends on chemotherapy and the patient. I have patients who never feel bad and others who do have problems. Part of the battle is also using modern antiemetics to prevent the nausea and vomiting. It is quite important to follow the schedule laid out by your health care provider for these even if you feel well because nausea can sneak up on you and is harder to treat once it is present.

Depends on the chemo: This is dependent on the chemo regimen and is different in different people. Some chemo regimens don't cause much nausea, some cause nausea that gets worse with additional days and sometimes the nausea is worse a few days after the chemo stops. Your doctor can help explain what is likely with a specific regimen.
