Shoulder Specialist: Your symptoms may be because of shoulder instability. Especially for patients that have flexible joints the examination is still the best guide to establishing the diagnosis and the other tests are often confirmatory in the absence of other pathology. The numbness may be stretching of the nerves with each episode or concurrent pathology. Consider a second opinion with a specialist.
