Improve not remove: Early on, salicylic acid preparations may limit inflammation which can produce hyperpigmentation. Late pigmentation can be treated with bleaching agents such as hydroquinone in combination with a retinoid and steroid. Alternatively, some chemical peels or fractionated laser treatments can also produce nice results. Only rarely is surgery needed.

Scar treatment: There is no way to remove a scar but there are modalities to decrease the appearance like microdemabrasion, steroid injections and skin lightening. The best recommendation is to keep the scars out of the sun.

Scars: It's possible that steroid injections might be helpful. You could possibly try a topical medication like avosil or biocorneum.
