See your doctor: I am unclear what type of discharge you were having, or other characteristics of age and medical history, but if you are now having intermittent blood in your stool, you should see your physician to have a colonoscopy done. There are both malignant and benign reasons for rectal discharge and bleeding, but it is important to rule out cancer. A colonoscopy may be necessary to determine the cause.
