Yes: Benzonatate is a butylamine, chemically related to other ester local anesthetics such as procaine and tetracaine. Its cough suppressing activity is by numbing the throat so that it is not as prone to reacting to inflammation. Don't know of any interaction with tamiflu (oseltamivir) which is a tablet.
