Is surgery absolutely "required" for a dislocated lens?

Depends: Is this a dislocated natural lens or surgically implanted lens? Is the vision affected and could it be improved with surgery? If the eye is quiet (not inflamed) and the dislocation not due to trauma, you have time to think about the "required" issue. This should be discussed with your ophthalmologist.
