See your eye doctor: It is not unusual for people to see blotches of light in their vision. Possible causes include migraines (even an "ocular migraine" without a headache) or contraction of the vitreous gel of the eye. You should see your eye md to have your pupils dilated and to have a careful exam of the retina.
