For muscle spasms.: Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) is a muscle relaxer medication used to treat muscle spasms or very tight muscles. If these very tight muscles are resulting in pain, it can also help to alleviate pain. Sometimes it is used to help people with muscle problems sleep better.
