Many: It could be as simple as chronic drainage down the back of the throat, viruses, allergies, strep throat, mono, other bacterial infections and dryness due to central heat or air and mouth breathing. You may need to see a pcp for evaluation and possible treatment. Try salt water gargles (1/2 teaspoon salt in 6-8 ounces of very warm water) several times a day.

A lot of things: A sore throat that lasts this long without other signs could be a deep infection, an inflammation, or even a throat cancer. Someone should examine your throat and possibly take some tests. Try gargling with warm salt water and use an antiseptic mouth wash/gargle, but don't put off help if this lasts or returns. Especially if you are having any trouble swallowing solid foods or liquids.
