No risk, no worry: Mentioning both HPV and sex, probably you are speaking of genital herpes, usually due to HSV type 2. Neither herpes nor HPV ever are transmitted to household contacts, even after years of shating bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, eating utensils, etc. Oral herpes (usually HSV type 1) sometimes is transmitted to household contacts, but almost entirely by kissing -- not by just being in the household.
