Recurrent "styes" : You most likely have recurrent "styes." these are blocked "sweat ducts" on the eyelids. I tell my patients to get a damp wash cloth and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Test it on your wrist to make sure it's not too hot. Place warm compress the closed eyelid for about5-10 minutes and re-heating as necessary. Use dilute baby shampoo to clean lids. If it persists, go for an exam.

Blepharitis therapy: Blepharitis is a very treatable problem. Initial treatment includes artificial tears, a bland antibiotic ointment at night, and ocusoft plus lid scrubs twice daily immediately after warm compresses. If symptoms persist, additional therapies may be needed and you should see your eye doctor.
