I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. what's the normal bg level now that i'm not pregnant anymore?

<110: Fasting bg< 110. 110-125 is prediabetic. >126 =dm. A1c can be used, but i would shy away from this at present for two reasons #1. Recent pregnancy will affect a1c for >60 days after delivery. #2 fasting bg will be primary target of control and primary method for monitoring response. If a1c elevated will need to check fbg anyway.

HBA1c/peak glucose: Blood glucose is typically checked fasting, the least likely way to pick up diabetes mellitus. Blood glucose is constantly changing according to ingestion, internal production, usage, etc. Diabetes mellitus typically progresses for 15-25 years before obvious by usual medical approaches. Hba1c, aka glycosylated hb, is a more effective single test. Optimal ≤5.0%, but not called dm until ≥6.5%.
