A member asked:

After being on a small dose of .5 mil klonopin (clonazepam) for 3 years how long would it take to withdraw from it completely?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A week or two: 0.5 mg is a pretty low dose, so it shouldn't be hard to stop. I would suggest taking 0.25 daily for a week or so, and then stop completely. While some patients have to taper it more gradually than that, in my experience this has worked fine for most patients. Of course, you should do this in collaboration with your prescribing doctor.
