May be from clothing: Bleach is basically chlorine, which you probably know is easily smelled in the air. (like how you can really smell chlorine in a swimming pool) so i wonder if the odor is really coming from your underwear? If you do use bleach on your clothes, try an extra rinse cycle. I hope you aren't douching, especially with anything chemical !

Unusual : I would recommend you be evaluated for the discharge. You may have BV although your description is not typical.
