Rx: The oral contraceptive pill often ends a young woman's acne if she want it and can take it. Otherwise, i start with benzoyl peroxide plus topical clindamycin, adding a retinoic acid derivative if there are blackheads. Next, i move to a systemic antibiotic that's appropriate for the person. Dermatologists have the strongest medications.
