Depends: Mild acne (not that many pustules, papules, no scarring ) can be treated with bpo (benzyol perox) wash otc and rx of topical Clindamycin w/topical retinoid at night. Moder-serve acne(many pimples, pustules, mild scarring, hyperpigmentation, no sinus tracking or abscesses) can be treated as mild acne but add on oral abx &/or ocp/spronolac. Anything more severe than above needs to consider accutane.
