Stomach acid?: We all produce stomach acid; we need it to digest our food. But excess acid irritates the lining of the stomach - even though it's built to withstand a high-acid environment. If a sore develops, it can deepen into an ulcer. Another acid-related condition is reflux (heartburn). Hyperacidity syndromes are treatable with acid blockers, & many can be purchased over the counter. Do see your doctor!
