No: Alcohol does not have direct relationship to gallbladder disease. However, alcohol can affect the composition of bile salts to cholesterols and fatty acids. This can lead to gallstone formation and subsequent gallbladder "attacks". This is usually manifested as right upper abdominal pain following meals. . Alcohol does have direct toxic affects to the liver and pancreas as well as the brain..
