Is it normal to have very loose bowels a year after having my gall bladder removed?

No: Most do not. Suggest physician evaluation looking for other causes.

Can occur..: Diarrhea after gallbladder surgery is not uncommon. Avoid fatty or greasy foods. Some need to take prescription medication like Questran (cholestyramine) to control diarrhea. See your doctor for an evaluation.

Maybe: Some people have loose stools especially when eating fatty foods after gallbladder removal. This may be temporary or permanent. Best practice would be to see your physician to rule out another reason for the loose stools.
