No easy answer: This would depend on the type of chemotherapy, and the goal of chemotherapy. Please discuss this with your oncologist.

CisPlatin: Most chemo is not as dependent, but platinum and Methotrexate are critically dependent. On kidney function, which the creatinine reflects kidney function. Sometimes one needs to hydrate, but if the kidney function is flagging, the chemo needs to be held. Cure does not require destroying kidneys or needing dialysis.
