What are the consequences of blindness in one eye? does it affect daily life?

Yes an No: You can go through life quite well with only one eye. To have good depth perception (stereovision), you do need two eyes that see well however so certain jobs become too difficult (like fighter pilot). Having one eye necessitates wearing polycarbonate glasses at all times to protect the better-seeing eye from an unanticipated trauma & regular eye exams to make sure the remaining eye stays healthy.
