7 yr old daughter spiked a fever of 104.6 yesterday afternoon. it hasn't dropped below 101.5. when do we need to worry?

Fever : Fever is part of the immune response. It helps fight infection. High fever is uncomfortable, but not usually dangerous. With a fever reducing med, the fever will come down 1-2 degrees. Although "worry" will not help, you should check with your child's doc if the fever goes more than 3 days, or if your child's other symptoms are concerning or worsening.
