No: Actually can decrease acid production. Germ can affect mucus layer so it is less effective, increases inflammation and ulcers.

H. pylori: H. Pylori can more importantly cause ulcers and even cancer of the stomach. Once identified it needs to be treated. Possible role for upper endoscopy (egd). Advise to be seen by a gastroenterologist (gi). Feel free to visit www.Browardgi.Com.
