Yes: Different cancerous lesions grow at different rates. Some have much faster metabolic rates while others grow at an indolent or very slow rate. However- all do grow if left long enough.

Usually, not always: This is usually true. However, some cancers extinguish themselves and may stay the same size for many years, or even more rarely they shrink in size.
