Irritation?: If you have done anything to irritate your tounge, then no, it probably isn't dangerous, but a red and white lesion that bleeds on brushing without a cause could be dangerous. I would refer you to the oral surgeon to have it checked out.

Possibly: Lesions that have not been determined benign or a normal part of your anatomy need to be evaluated, in person, by a doctor that can examine you. Without your medical history, including info on smoking, drinking, medications you might be on, age, etc it is impossible to tell what this may be. Have yourself examined by your physician or dentist to be sure what caused those lesions. All the best..

See below: Hard to say without exam. The 'white all around' may be a clue. Have you taken any oral antibiotics? You may have candidiasis (aka thrush). This can produce a white coating on the tongue...Usually not bleeding res spots, though. If the white coating is easily removed with a q-tip, it is more likely to be candidiasis. It can be treated with medication.
