Get it out: If you are unable to get it out easily yourself then see your doctor. These will usually abcess and cause problems until they are removed.

See a physician: Many small splinters will work their way out on their own. If a splinter is deep or doesn’t work it’s way out of the skin within a week or two then see a physician in person to have it removed and evaluated. Splinters can lead to significant infection in the skin and surrounding areas
