Not unusual: Its not normal but one of the main reasons people are seen by their ob/gyn and placed on the pill. Don't let yourself get anemic?

Not uncommon: You are right, it is not likely your last pregnancy affected the current period. It is common to have abnormal periods on occasion. Heavy bleeding two months straight is uncommon and often requires a biopsy or ultrasound. Causes include problems such as polyps or abnormal hormone function or changes related to current birth control. Get checked!
