the left side of my neck was so stiff i had to see a chiropractor. it's much. improved; now on the right side the base of my skull, is a huge knot...?

Work it out: It is probably a muscle spasm, brought out by the work on the other side, as both must be in balance. Local heat, stretching, massage, more chiropractic, can all potentially help get rid of this knot. If no relief after a few days, see your doctor for exam and +/- drugs to help.
