Talk with doctor: If your periods are so as difficult as you describe, please talk with your doctor about treatment. Many women use birth control pills to regulate periods, decrease flow, and decrease cramping - whether they need birth control or not! you don't have to suffer with this; see your doctor and get some help. Good luck. Lgromkomd.

Hormone imbalance: You may have high estrogen (e2) &/or low Progesterone (pg). The high e2/pg ratio causes a parasympathetic(pns)reaction in your autonomic nervous system. Pns causes contraction of your smooth muscle (cramps), stimulation of your GI system (n/v), a vaso-vagal reaction (fainting spell) your body excretes e2-liver detoxing via an enzyme named glucuronidase. Calc-d-glucarate, pg, & low carb diet may.

Need GYN eval: NSAID’s, SSRI’s, hormone meds, OTC meds containing diuretics, warm bath, heating pad, exercise & acupuncture are excellent for dysmenorrhea. Avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol & salt. Get GYN eval to R/O underlying pathology. Consider omega- 3 fatty acids, magnesium (supplementation or through diet) or Black Cohosh with dr ok. Sipping Chamomile can dissipate pain.
