Can a toothache cause heart problems?

Dr. David May answered

No: Pain will not hurt your heart. If there is pain, there might be infection too. If there is infection you will have a low grade infection throughout your body. If your heart is susceptible to such an infection it would not be good for you.

No: But infections that spread from abscessed teeth can cause problems in other parts of your body, including your heart. Have your teeth checked out by a local dentist.

No: Teeth do not cause heart problems, however if you have a heart murmur, or mitral valve prolapse, you could have subacute bacterial endocarditis. Recommend you go visit your physician.
