A member asked:

What cause a heavy weight feeling in the head? does it have anything to do with sinus or vertigo?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Most of the time a heavy feeling in the head is due to muscle spasm. The chewing muscles are huge and if they are overworked (by gum chewing, jaw clenching, teeth grinding etc.) they can tighten and lead to the feeling of pressure or heaviness. That is usually the first thing i think of unless there are other symptoms to suggest another cause.
