A member asked:

Fsh score of 60 just off mirena (levonorgestrel) for 6 months and no period.. do i have premature ovarian failure?

Please see your doc: Fsh (follicle stimulating hormone) is elevated when we are menopausal - as the pituitary "reads" a lower amount of circulating estrogen in the bloodstream. Fsh normally stimulates the ovaries to develop follicles in preparation for ovulation. Premature ovarian failure at age 32 is unusual, but it can happen. Please see your physician and discuss how this may impact you. Good luck. Lgromkomd.

Unfortunately yes: A fsh score of 60 unfortunately indicates ovarian failure.
