PERHAPS: After any abdominal surgery, due to fluid shifts, pain medicines, and alterations in normal life activities, there can be some residual bloating or flatulence. However, the absence of your gallbladder won't lead to a life a gas problems. Just focus on good hydration, a balanced diet, and maintain normal activity. Good luck.

Yes: You can have gas and diarrhea indefinitely after the gallbladder is removed after eating a fatty meal. I would examine when you develop gas. Is it after eating a fatty meal or other food? If so, i would eliminate that food. You can try that food item again at a later time because post cholecystectomy bloating and diarrhea may improve with time.
