A member asked:

I can't find anywhere that tells me exactly why gallbladder problems cause gas. and, would gas subside after cholicystectomy?

Yes, maybe: In my practice i find that the symptom of abdominal distention (bloating) is common in patients with gallbladder disease. Many patients fell as if they are "full of gas". Usually this symptom occurs afetr eating. In these patients, that symptom disappears after cholecystectomy.
